TRPN News – North & South Districts Meet

Vol. 2, Iss. 6 | February 2021

RGV LEAD and the Texas Regional Pathways Network districts have been busy this month meeting with business partners, Workforce Solutions, and the TRPN Ad Hoc committee. This month’s agenda included introducing more work-based opportunities for students and increasing the dual enrollment counseling for each student enrolled in the TRPN pathways, which include construction, health science, renewable energy, and welding.

Pictured right is Juan Delgado from Noble Construction in La Feria, Texas. Robert Salazar is the construction teacher at La Feria High School.

Juan visited the campus to look at the construction shop and the welding shop to assist La Feria ISD in recommending equipment that can be incorporated so that students get real-world experience with equipment that is used in the actual industry. He also mentioned ways that Noble could provide opportunities to the La Feria High School students.
