Despite the threat of rain, diehard skeet shoot enthusiasts showed up in the early morning hours at the El Dorado Sporting Clays in Linn, Texas, to challenge fellow shooters to 10 stations of precision shooting. Participants were treated to breakfast and lunch by Rod Squad Foodies, energizing music by DJ Rodney Martinez, and participated in a salute to the United States veterans.The 3rd Annual RGV LEAD, “Shooting for Success Skeet Shoot,” was well attended and proved again to be a great scholarship fundraiser. Scholarships will be awarded at the end of the 2023-2024 school year to several RGV LEAD Scholars throughout the Rio Grande Valley.RGV LEAD would like to thank the following sponsors for their support: American Electric Company-AEP, Diana Ortiz Realtor, Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, Rike Ogden Figueroa Allex Architects-ROFA, Santa Cruz Properties, Texas Gas Service, Texas State Technical College Harlingen, and Vanguard Academy.
